During this class, students make a set of 4 coasters. The class will begin with practicing texture techniques like embossing & stamping. You will then make a coaster, step-by-step, including a rimmed edge to prevent drips. (Image of finished piece coming soon.)
Current dates for this class are Tuesdays in August from to 8pm.
(If you have a party of at least 3 people OR are willing to pay for at least 3 class spots, you may schedule a private class.)
GUIDELINES:
- LIMITED SEATING: Each session is normally limited to 4 people. (If you have a party of 5-7, we CAN squeeze in the add'l spots if you .)
- LENGTH of STUDIO TIME: Up to 2 hours
- AGE LIMIT: Participants must be at least 13 years or older unless there is a supervising adult also taking the class.
- No one may accompany you unless they are also painting.
- PICK UP: The pieces you make will be available 8 to 10 weeks after your studio time. Please be sure to provide an email address and/or phone number to be notified when your pottery is available for pickup.
- APRONS not provided. Please bring/wear something you don't mind getting dirty; however, you will be using non-staining porcelain clay... so it will wash out of clothing.
FEES:
- $50 per person. This fee covers the studio time, materials, finish glazing, firing & clean up. You make the mugs, we will glaze & fire them.

**** You may bring your own beverages; however, alcoholic beverages are only allowed in classes where all 4 participants are a part of the same party or all participants consent. .
**** There are 6 parking spaces in the garage attached to the rear of the building located at 103 Pendleton St, Marion VA 24354. The spaces are clearly marked with The FORD Studios logo. If all the gallery spaces are full, there is street parking is available on Main Street.
